No More dA?

So... I am now seriously looking into getting my poems published in literary magazines (at least some of them; I know not all of them are publish-worthy). And my short stories, too, but seeing as how I only have three that I've completed and would actually want to be considered for publication, I think I'll concentrate more on my poems for now.

The problem? I've discovered that apparently, a lot of literary magazines won't accept work if it's been put up on "self-publishing" sites, such as dA. This makes me sad, if it'll mean that I'll have to take down the writings I've put up on dA over the years. Let's see, I've been on here since I was... thirteen? Fourteen? In short, a long time. I'm no visual artist, so it would be a sad departure for me. I'll look into the "we won't publish if it's on dA" thing some more, of course, but if I have to take down my writings... I'll be sad. Not like I get a lot of comments (or post a lot) anyway, but I felt like by putting up my writings, I was connecting with people in a way. It doesn't mean that I'll have to stop looking at others' artworks, or reading others' writings. Maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion (wouldn't be the first time).

But yeah. Just felt like writing this.
